Austin ISD and the Metz-Sánchez Elementary Schools community will celebrate the groundbreaking of Sánchez, funded through the 2017 Bond.
Students from the Metz-Sánchez community will soon be learning in a bright, modern school with flexible classrooms at the Sánchez site. The modernized Sánchez is a $25 million investment from the 2017 Bond program.

When/Where: 12:30 p.m. parade from Metz Elementary, 84 Robert T. Martinez Jr. Street, 1 p.m. ceremony at Sánchez Elementary, 73 San Marcos Street, Thursday, Feb. 20
The modernized building at Sánchez will have a capacity of 580 and will open in August 2021.
