The Austin ISD Office of Academics and Social Emotional Learning will host three community meetings to address the revision of the Human Sexuality and Responsibility Curricula for elementary and middle schools.

Attendees will be informed about the national and local human sexuality education curriculum standards, policies and research. Participants will be asked to assist in the development of the revision of our Human Sexuality and Responsibility curriculum by providing feedback with an online survey for grades 3-5 and 6-8.

Any revised curriculum for grades 3-8 will be implemented in the 2019-20 school year. Austin ISD will also be seeking feedback on curriculum for kindergarten through grade 2 for possible implementation beyond the 2019-20 school year.

Attendees are asked to bring a charged device or smartphone to complete the online survey. Devices will also be available as needed. Spanish interpretation and surveys in Spanish will also be available. Light refreshments and child care will also be provided.

Each meeting is 6-7:30 p.m. on the following dates and each has the same content:
