As part of the 2017 Bond, the Austin ISD is hosting a celebration, “Destination Eastside.”

What: Attendees will learn about the exciting opportunities that await the Eastside community at the new modernized Eastside High School at the site of the original L.C. Anderson High School campus.

Administrators from Eastside Memorial ECHS and International High School, along with architects from Perkins+Will, will share updates on design concepts for the new building and possible program offerings.

They also will share preliminary ideas for honoring the legacy of the original L.C. Anderson High School, including plans for a community space and a museum/gallery, and for repurposing original building components throughout the new portions of the building.

Community members are invited to share their ideas and be part of the modernization of this important historical space that will act as a community hub and source of academic excellence in the East Austin community for years to come.
