Monday, the Austin Independent School District's Board of Trustees will recognize 115 exemplary students from across the district for their stellar performances and placing in state and national competitions. The Board also will recognize about 40 teachers and coaches for their leadership and service to the district's students.
When: 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 29
Where: CAC Board Auditorium, 1111 W. Sixth St.
Background: During this special recognition ceremony, trustees will read statements acknowledging and thanking the commended students and educators for their achievements.
Students will be recognized for their achievements in:
- UIL State Wrestling
- UIL State Swimming
- Nation Career and Technical Education
- State Quiz Bowl
- State and International Science Fairs
- Youth Art Month
- National Scholastic Arts
- State Visual Arts
