AISD Community Meetings for Potential AAFRs

AUSTIN, TX—This week, Austin ISD invites families and community members to two meetings at which they can learn about possible academic scenarios for a South High School and potential facility renovations for Rosedale School and Clifton Career Development School.

The meetings are part of AISD's process to gather input and feedback from families and community members about the potential 2013-14 Annual Academic and Facilities Recommendations.  

Child care and interpretation services will be provided at both meetings.     

Thursday: South High School 

In 2008, voters approved a bond program that authorized AISD to purchase land for a future south high school.

What: Presentation regarding the potential academic scenarios for a South High School and community-focused activity to address future academic programming options for the school.  

When: 6:30-8:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 8

Where: Akins High School Cafeteria, 10701 South 1st St.

Saturday: Rosedale School and Clifton Career Development School 

The Rosedale School and Clifton Career Development School serve special education students in AISD. 

What: Presentation regarding potential facility renovations for Rosedale School and Clifton Career Development School and how they could affect academic programming.  

When: 9-10:30 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 10 

Where: Cafeteria at Clifton Career Development School, 1519 Coronado Hills Dr.
