Travis High School Designated as a "No Place for Hate" School

Austin, TX—Travis High School is now an official "No Place for Hate" school, earning the designation after completing at least three anti-bias activities and committing to a Resolution of Respect. Travis is among 30 Austin ISD schools that have earned this recognition.

Where: Travis High School gymnasium, 1211 E. Oltorf, Austin

Background: Launched in 2001, the No Place for Hate initiative provides educators and students with resources to ensure that anti-bias and diversity education are an integral part of the school curriculum. It helps to create and sustain inclusive school environments where all students feel valued and have the opportunity to succeed by promoting respect for individual difference while challenging bigotry and prejudice.
