Austin, TX— Austin Independent School District (AISD) Superintendent Meria Carstarphen and AISD Police Chief Ernesto Riojas will walk with hundreds of children during "International Walk to School Day," on October 5, 2011. This marks the 11th year Safe Kids Austin has partnered with AISD to build awareness for pedestrian safety and encourage exercise for students.
