Dear Austin High School Community,
We are looking for your new principal of Stephen F. Austin High School.
On June 23, we sent you a letter about current principal Ms. Amy Taylor’s resignation. The letter also included a link to a survey that let you tell us what you wanted in a principal, which we call the Principal Profile.
The survey received hundreds of responses and closed on June 30. We’ll use the feedback from the community to create the Principal Profile and then share it with the community. The principal screening committee and interview committee will also use the profile in the search for the new Austin High principal.
The next step is a community meeting on Tuesday, July 13 at 6pm in the Austin High School library. Ms. Sheila Henry, executive director of high schools, will host the meeting and present the results of the survey and Principal Profile.
For anyone who can’t attend in person, we will offer virtual synchronous participation. For those community members planning to join the meeting virtually (at the same time), please click on the link below or join by dialing one of the phone numbers below beginning at approximately 5:50 p.m.
