Austin ISD, in partnership with Austin Community College and TRIO Electric, invite the community to a ceremony to launch the TRIO Electrical Construction Program at Lanier Early College High School. 

This ceremony will recognize the first cohort of students entering the program at Lanier.

The students will receive their equipment belts, hats and other safety gear to begin both their academic and skills training.

Guest speakers include:

• Richard Rhodes, president of Austin Community College
• Beau Pollock, president and CEO of TRIO Electric
• Craig Shapiro, Austin ISD's associate superintendent for high schools
• Lanier ECHS Principal Ryan Hopkins

Students in this program will earn industry certifications and will participate in on-the-job training at commercial sites during the summer.
