Austin ISD will participate in the annual Historical Juneteenth Parade on June 16, organized by GEAYA (Greater East Austin Youth Association). DCCE invites you to join us as we work to increase visibility of AISD as a district that welcomes all students, in a safe, supportive and learning environment. Our participation aligns with the district's strategic plan vision, core beliefs and values. 

An all-district marching band will be performing as part of the Austin ISD Juneteenth parade contingent.

The parade starts at 10 a.m. and will proceed down E Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and across Chicon Street to Rosewood Park - a distance of approximately 1.4 miles.

We highly recommend the use of sunscreen, comfortable clothing and walking shoes. Water will be provided and volunteers are welcome.
