The annual Johnston High School Vietnam Veterans Memorial Ceremony will be held during the Memorial Day weekend at Eastside Memorial HS located at 1012 Arthur Stiles.

 

This year, eight (8) new names will be inscribed on the monument which is located in front of Johnston High School.  This will make a total of sixty-three (63) ex-students from Johnston High School in east Austin that died as a result of the Vietnam conflict.  Nineteen (19) were killed in action and the rest died from war related injuries or agent orange.  Our fallen heroes are one reason why Johnston High School is known as the "Pride of the Eastside".
