Austin ISD will honor 11 war veterans and present them with diplomas at a special ceremony on Veterans Day.

The principals from Austin, Anderson, Eastside Memorial, Lanier, McCallum, Reagan and Travis high schools will present diplomas to the veterans, who served in the Air Force, Army, Army Reserves and Navy from 1944–2013.

The event begins at 2 p.m. and will be held at McCallum High School, 5600 Sunshine Drive 78756.

Interim Superintendent Paul Cruz and AISD Board of Trustees President Vincent Torres will deliver remarks.
