Anderson High School hosts "What Every Parent Needs to Know About Social Media and What Kids Are Doing Online"
As technology has evolved, there is still much adults and youth need understand when it comes to being safe, responsible and productive while using the internet. Reggie Cajayon, Internet Safety Specialist at the Texas School Safety Center, will bring attendees up to speed on the best practices when online and using mobile devices, as well as discuss current issues regarding sexting and cyberbullying. The event will help parents get informed about the latest issues identified with student social networking and will provide information about using social networking sites. AISD Chief of Staff Mel Waxler and Social and Emotional Wellness Director Sherrie Raven will also be in attendance to answer questions and guide the discussion.
