What: Dual Language Program Expansion (AAFR) Community Meeting.  

Austin ISD would like to invite you to learn more about the possible expansion of the dual language program at a community meeting on  Wednesday, October 17, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. in the cafeteria of Perez Elementary, located at 7500 South  Pleasant Valley Road.  This meeting will be conducted in Spanish.  English interpretation services will be provided.

On Thursday, October 18, there will be another meeting from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the auditorium of Ridgetop Elementary, located at 5005 Caswell Avenue.  This meeting will be conducted in English.  Spanish interpretation services will be provided.

The Dual Language Program promotes the development of bilingual, bicultural, and biliterate students, who learn a combination of English and Spanish, or another global language. The possible expansion of this program is one of the district’s potential 2013-14 Annual Academic and Facilities Recommendations.
