Salute, a tribute to teaching excellence throughout the district will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 23 (student performances begin at 5 p.m.) at the Long Center for the Performing Arts. This annual event, co-hosted by Austin ISD and Austin Partners in Education, will include a program recognizing our teachers, performances by students and a special reception. At Salute, we will also name the Austin Teacher of the Year, who will serve as the District’s nominee for the Texas Teacher of the Year Program.

Join us as we come together to honor our teachers of the year, national board certified teachers, teachers of promise, and principal and classified staff of the year!
