National College Colors Day

Celebrate National College Colors Day at your Austin ISD campus! On National College Colors Day, students, staff, families, and the community are encouraged to wear apparel or accessories in the colors of their favorite college or university. No matter your college of choice, it's a spirited way to show pride and unity across the district.

Austin ISD students set new AP records (En español)

Austin ISD students delivered some of the district’s strongest Advanced Placement (AP) results to date.  By the numbers: This spring, more than 7,200 students took over 15,000 AP exams. That’s an 18% increase in exams and 14% rise in student participation over 2024.  73% of exams taken earned a score of 3 or higher, qualifying for college credit. That’s a 4-point gain from 2024. Why it matters: More students are not only taking AP courses; they’re succeeding. In total, Austin ISD students earned over 11,000 college credits this year, saving families an estimated $16.6 million in future tuition costs.

Austin ISD Federal Funding Update (En Español)

Dear Austin ISD Family,  This year has been incredibly difficult with multiple waves of policy changes or updates that affect our work. And now, due to the federal government’s extended review of grants, we’re facing a significant loss in federal funding that will impact how we deliver some of the programs we deeply value.  On June 30, we learned that some federally funded grants (Title I-C, II-A, III-A, IV-A, and IV-B), which typically disperse on July 1, are on hold with no timeline or indication of when or if they will become available. This amounts to more than $9 million in funding for Austin ISD.
