Good evening, Austin ISD Community,

As you may have heard, earlier this evening there was a shooting at Uvalde Memorial Park. I know that this may cause stress, raise anxiety, or mean that some of our students to act out. We've asked our principals and counselors to be aware, and to be vigilant and proactive in monitoring students or colleagues who may need extra support or to visit with a counselor. 

Austin ISD’s Dyslexia Conference 2022

Hosted by Austin ISD—Conference Starts on Friday, October 28

AISD’s free annual dyslexia conference brings together researchers, parents, dyslexia therapists, teachers, related service providers, advocates, and other professionals to build understanding and application of improved support and services for students with dyslexia.

This year’s conference will be virtual, on demand, and as always FREE for educators, families, and professionals starting on Friday, October 28, 2022.

About the Conference

The Central Texas Dyslexia Conference event brings together parents, teachers, advocates, therapists, administrators and community leaders to learn how to best support the academic and emotional needs of students with dyslexia.

Austin ISD has been organizing the conference since 2015 and provides dyslexia training for educators and evaluations for students year round. for AISD students. 

The conference is free to attend and is made possible by partners, dedicated volunteers and financial contributions from the community.

Este taller se enfocará en las comidas saludables, deliciosas y de alta calidad que se sirven diariamente en todas las escuelas del AISD. Además de discutir nuestros menús, también hablaremos sobre las comidas con restricciones dietéticas o dietas especiales, los pasos para determinar la elegibilidad para recibir comidas gratis o a precio reducido y las normas en relación con la comida en el plantel fuera de la cafetería.

This workshop will highlight the healthy, tasty, and high-quality meals served daily at all AISD schools. In addition to discussing our menus, we will also cover dining with dietary restrictions or special diets, steps to determine eligibility for free or reduced-price meals, and policies surrounding food on campus outside of the cafeteria.
