Through July 22, current and future families can come to Austin ISD enrollment clinics to get help registering for the 2021-22 school year.

Students can get registered at any location or any grade at the enrollment clinics. The clinics are scheduled at locations in north and south Austin and include morning, afternoon or evening hours.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are now recommending students return to in-person learning this year, according to guidelines released July 9. Why it matters: In-person learning is now backed by scientists as the best way to learn, even while the pandemic isn’t fully over.

In the 2021-22 school year, new bus routes will begin rolling out at select schools to service families living within schools’ two-mile radius.
