Austin ISD has begun its annual summer efficiency schedule, which consists of extended hours Monday through Thursday and closure on Fridays throughout the summer.
Offices are open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. during the four-day workweek. The summer schedule will be in effect from June 7 to Aug. 6.
All Austin ISD offices and schools will also close for one week from July 5-9.
The district’s regular five-day workweek resumes Monday, Aug. 9.

Austin ISD staff can take free Spanish language classes to better serve and build relationships with our Spanish-speaking students and community.
The optional classes will be taught by Austin ISD Spanish language teachers and will focus on learning conversational Spanish in an education and relationship-building context. Classes will meet virtually at least once per week between one and two hours and will have about 15 minutes per day of asynchronous activities between classes.
