Salute 2021 Celebration

Salute is AISD’s annual awards gala, co-hosted by the district and Austin Partners in Education (APIE). This event is an opportunity to recognize some of AISD’s outstanding team members and volunteers for their continued dedication to student excellence and achievement in our schools.

During Salute, AISD recognizes teachers of the year and teachers of promise from each campus, as well as classified staff of the year, PTA of the year, librarian of the year, counselor of the year, assistant principal of the year and principal of the year.

Middle School Students Can Now Participate in AISD Vaccine Clinics

 Austin ISD is ready to get 12 to 15-year-old students access to the COVID-19 vaccine.

The Food and Drug Administration authorized for emergency use of the safe and effective Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for the age group. Austin ISD has made plans to utilize already-scheduled vaccine clinics to administer the shot to anyone ages 12 and older.

Austin ISD Updates COVID-19 Safety Protocols for Students

Effective May 12, Austin ISD is changing its COVID-19 policies, including easing mask requirements for outdoor activities that incorporate social distancing, allowing outdoor ceremonies and other activities for education purposes, and shortening the quarantine period.
