AISD SAT, ACT Scores Exceed State, National Averages

Students in Austin ISD continue to outpace their counterparts across the state on the SAT and ACT exams, according to data released Oct. 25. by the College Board.

Since 2016, The SAT test has been scored on a 1600-point scale. The district's average SAT composite score of 1105 exceeded the state and the national averages of 1032 and 1068, respectively. Greater percentages of AISD students also met college readiness benchmarks compared with their peers throughout the state and nation.

Austin Water Utility Cancels Boil Water Notice/Austin Water Cancela Aviso de Hervir Agua

Austin Water has lifted boil water notice issued Monday, Oct. 22. 

Customers no longer need to boil water before consuming.  

Residential customers are not required to flush their pipes.

HopeFest 2018

HopeFest, Austin's largest campus-based family resource fair, is 9:30 a.m.–3 p.m. Oct. 27 at Reagan Early College High School.

This free event is, now in its 13th year, brings together more than 3,000 attendees with 150 exhibitors to celebrate the northeast Austin community and provide health, dental, vision, housing, employment, legal, educational, Blue Santa and other resources.

Throughout the past week, our AISD families have helped immensely by boiling water and sending it in a sustainable, reusable container with students. If that weren't happening, the water supplies we are receiving from the state wouldn't be enough for our district.
