Austin ISD invites the community to join us as we march in the annual Austin PRIDE Parade. Our goal is to increase visibility of AISD as an LGBTQ-friendly district and create a safe, supportive learning environment for all students.
Time: Marchers should arrive at San Jacinto and 12th streets at 7:15 p.m. The parade starts at 8 p.m. and continues down Congress Avenue and across Fourth Street to Republic Square Park, a distance of approximately three-quarters of a mile.
Parking: Parking is available at the 15th and San Jacinto Boulevard parking garage for about $5.
Release Form: All students who chose to participate are required to have a release form signed by a parent or guardian. Elementary students are required to be accompanied by adults. Download a copy of the release form required for students to march in the 2017 PRIDE parade.
Shirts: PRIDE Parade shirts will be available for purchase on site for $10/each cash or check on a first-come, first-serve basis until quantities are depleted.
