It's Time to Celebrate: Superintendent Surprises AISD Teachers of the Year

Superintendent Paul Cruz surprised four teachers in their classrooms today to announce their selection as Austin ISD's 2017 Teachers of the Year for elementary and secondary schools.
 
Being selected as a Teacher of the Year is one of the highest honors the district bestows on AISD teachers.

Walking the Walk: AISD Participates in Million Mile Month

AISD joins the city of Austin and Travis County officials to encourage the community to embrace healthy living by logging workout miles in April as part of the Million Mile Month.

“We want Austin ISD to be the healthiest, fittest school district in the state. By participating in Million Mile Month, we can stay on track with our fitness goals,’’ said AISD Superintendent Paul Cruz.
