October 2013 TAKS Exit Level Out-of-School Registration

For the October 2013 administrations of the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) exit level tests, registration for out-of-school examinees will be online only. TAKS examinees (including former TAAS and TEAMS examinees) must register online at http://www.TexasAssessment.com/taksoos. Registration for the October exit level tests opened Aug. 5, 2013, and ends Sept. 13, 2013, at 5 p.m. (CT). Examinees who do not register online by the deadline can register at a participating campus on the day of testing.

AISD Encourages Families to Review Schools’ List of Supplies Before the Tax-Free Weekend Aug. 9-11

AUSTIN, TX—As families prepare to take advantage of next week’s tax-free weekend, AISD encourages parents to review the district’s list of supplies by schools and grade levels.

The school supplies list is different for every campus and grade level. Parents should check with their child’s school during or around orientation to get a final list. 

AISD Teachers Attend Humanities Texas’ “America at War in the 20th Century” Workshop

AUSTIN, TX­—In June, AISD teachers were among a select group of educators from across the state who attended “America at War in the Twentieth Century,” a professional development institute sponsored by Humanities Texas, the University of Texas at Austin, the University of Texas at San Antonio and the University of Texas at El Paso.
