Middle School Orientation
Orientation for all middle school students new to AISD or new to a middle school campus will be held on Friday, Aug. 16 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at their middle school.
High School Orientation
For all high school students new to a campus or new to AISD, orientation will be held Friday, Aug. 16 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at their high school campus.
AISD Elementary School Registration
Elementary school students who are new to the Austin Independent School District and current AISD students who have moved or transferred during the summer may register at their new elementary schools from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Registration will be open from Monday, Aug. 12 through Friday, Aug. 16. Students may also register online at any time.
AISD Middle School Registration
Middle school students who are new to the Austin Independent School District and current AISD students who have moved or transferred during the summer may register at their new middle schools schools Wednesday, Aug. 14 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Students may also register online at any time.
AISD High School Registration
High school students who are new to the Austin Independent School District and current AISD students who have moved or transferred during the summer may register at their new schools on Tuesday, Aug. 13 and Wednesday, Aug. 14 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Students may also register online at any time.

AISD Graduation Rates Reach All-time High
AUSTIN, Texas—Graduation rates for the Austin Independent School District's Class of 2012 are at an all-time high at 82.5 percentage points, a 2.5 percentage point increase from the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency's recently released report on graduation and completion rates.
RIP Buddy: AISD's First K-9 Officer Passed Away
AISD's first K-9 officer passed away July 17. Buddy retired last year after more than a decade of service to the district.
