The first day of school is less than two weeks away and we’re ready to help your child get safely to and from school with the Bus Stop Finder. With the introduction of the secondary hub transportation model, the Austin ISD Transportation team is also looking for your feedback as drivers practice routes and address any issues before welcoming students aboard.

With over 200 hub stops across the district, the Austin ISD Transportation team will continue making adjustments to this model to ease your daily transportation plans. Throughout this evaluation period, we ask that families assist their students in getting to and from hub locations that are in areas with no sidewalks or are not feasible for students to get to on their own. 

Families can prepare for the first day with the Bus Stop Finder:

• Type in the students’ address and school into the website. 
• Review the assigned stop along with the pickup and drop-off times.
• Share feedback via the Transportation Hub Stops Survey so the Transportation team continues refining routes to best serve your family.

Once school starts, families can also track the child's route in real time using the Where’s the Bus App, giving peace of mind from departure to arrival. 

Background
Middle and high school students this year will catch the bus at bus hub stops located within an average of 2.5 to 3 miles of student residences. The hubs have been carefully vetted to ensure safe loading, smooth drop-offs, and secure traffic flow.

Elementary school students will continue to have neighborhood-level stops.

Con más de 200 paradas de centros de conexión en todo el distrito, el equipo de Transporte del Austin ISD continuará realizando ajustes a este modelo para facilitar sus planes diarios de transporte.
