AISD’s Salute Honors Those with Passion for Education

AISD is #AISDProud this week as we recognize some of the district's most outstanding members for their continued dedication to student excellence and achievement in our schools.

Salute is AISD’s annual celebration that awards members of the AISD community for their passion for working in education.

This year, to ensure the district maintains a safe environment during COVID-19, the Office of Human Capital and Talent Acquisition and Development team as well as Austin Partners in Education hosted a virtual Salute 2020 Celebration to honor the great work of our staff and recognize all of our award finalists and winners. The ceremony was streamed live on AISD.TV and Facebook.

This year's winners included Clifton CDS Principal Tony Dishner, Martin Middle School AP Amanda Arguijo, Mills Elementary Counselor Kristina Kern, Pleasant Hill Librarian Megan Kite, and AISD police officer Wayne Sneed.

The virtual Salute Awards Ceremony was broadcasted on AISD.TV on Wednesday, at 6:30, friends family and the community were invited on social media using by using the #AISDSalute2020.
