St. Davids Foundation awarded 16 Austin ISD students the St. David’s Neal Kocurek Scholarship on Wednesday, July 25.

The scholarship provides college funding for high school graduates pursuing careers in the medical field at Texas colleges and universities. It also provides resources such as a tutoring program; access to mental health counseling, legal and financial services, and wellness coaching; and access to mentors from St. David’s Healthcare or St. David’s Foundation network.

Each student attending a four-year college or university will receive $7,500 per year for up to eight years if continuing on to graduate school. Students in two-year programs will receive $2,000 per semester.
