UT alumnus and pro football star Ricky Williams has partnered with E3 Alliance to remind students about the importance of attending school the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Tuesday is a regular school day for Austin ISD.

"One of everyone's favorite holidays is coming up–Thanksgiving. We all love the turkey, the stuffing and getting together with our families and loved ones to give thanks.

This Thanksgiving holiday, please remember to only miss school on scheduled school holidays, give teachers the chance to teach and don't let your school lose the needed dollars to support sports programs and electives. Missing school matters."
