The AISD Bilingual Department will host a community meeting to focus on the benefits of dual-language education on Austin students.

At the event, Dr. Virginia P. Collier and Wayne P. Thomas will present parents and community members with recent research findings that illustrate the ways in which dual language education programs have been shown to greatly improve education for all students. 

The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 18 at 6:30 p.m. at Barbara Jordan Elementary School, 6711 Johnny Morris Road. Refreshments and childcare will be available for participating families.
