Join the Austin ISD community Tuesday, Nov. 13, to celebrate the district's outstanding programs in academics, athletics and the arts. 

During the 2012 State of the District Address Showcase, Superintendent Meria Carstarphen will highlight team AISD's achievements and goals as we bring our communities together to strengthen support for all of our students, staff members and schools.

The event will include performances by all of AISD's high school and middle school bands, the All-City Choir, high school dance teams, drumlines and members of AISD's Reserve Officers' Training Corps. Attendees are also invited to explore student exhibits beginning at 6 p.m. on the home side of the stadium. The exhibits will feature information and activities on robotics, rockets, health careers, visual arts and athletics, among others.  

IBM's Sandy Dochen and LBJ High School Band Director Don Haynes will serve as masters of ceremonies.

When: Tuesday, Nov. 13

           Stadium gates open at 5:30 p.m.      

           Student exhibits begin at 6 p.m.

           Presentation begins at 7 p.m.
