Statement from the Board President on behalf of the AISD Board of Trustees: The Board of Trustees had its first opportunity to discuss Dr. Cruz’s announcement at our February 24, 2020 Board meeting. First and most importantly, Austin ISD and our employees are focused on our students and families. That’s our priority every day and will continue to be so during this time of transition.
