Marathon Kids and Austin ISD Launch Partnership for Physical Activity
Marathon Kids and AISD will be celebrating and kicking off a game-changing partnership to take youth exercise in Austin to the next level.Over the course of the year, all AISD elementary school students will be encouraged to run or walk the equivalent of four marathons, or 104.8 miles, during the first 10 minutes of Working out for Wellness time.

Austin ISD Will Serve Up Good Nutrition for Local Children This Summer
Bringing healthy summer meals to the Austin community ensures kids have a healthy vacation and return to school ready to learn. This summer, Austin ISD will serve anyone 18 years old and younger healthy meals at more than 50 campuses at no cost through the Summer Food Service Program. Both breakfast and lunch will be offered at all AISD summer meal sites.

Austin ISD to Operate on Two-Hour Delay
Austin ISD classes, buses and offices will have a two-hour delayed start tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 16, due to expected inclement weather. All after-school and/or outdoor activities will be brought indoors according to our temperature guidelines. Answer: Restrictions such as distancing and plexiglass will depend on recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Austin Public Health at that time.
