Ann Richards School Wins $1,000 for Spoilage Tracker Idea
Students from throughout Austin ISD met at Crockett High School today to “Think It Up”—creating big ideas that can be crowdfunded on donorschoose.org.The winning idea—Green SAFE—was from Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders, which won $1,000. Green SAFE is a produce spoilage tracker, with the ultimate goal of reducing the amount of food that ends up in the trash.

Parenting with Love and Logic Workshops
The Austin Independent School District’s Parent Support Office will be offering free one-night workshops focused on “Parenting with Love and Logic" to provide parents with simple and practical techniques to effectively handle challenging child behaviors. Akins High School Competes in F1 in Schools World Finals
AUSTIN, Texas--This week, W. Charles Akins H.S. T-STEM Academy's TALON Racing, in conjunction with Axium Racing from Granbury High School, will compete as one team, Lone Star Racing, at the SAE/Formula One F1 in Schools Technology Challenge World Finals 2013.
