As per the Texas Education Code, "Instructional materials selected for use in public schools shall be furnished without cost to students attending those schools."Each school district is entitled to an annual allotment from the state Instructional Materials Fund for each student enrolled in the district.

AISD Athletics Promotes Domestic Violence Awareness
October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and Austin ISD Athletics is doing its part to promote safe and healthy relationships.In partnership with the Travis County Sheriff's Office, Texas Advocacy Project and SAFE, student athletes will be wearing purple ribbons to encourage others to stand up against dating and domestic violence.
