AISD Approves Distinguished Level of Achievement as Default Graduation Plan
AUSTIN, Texas--Monday, Austin ISD's Board of Trustees established the Distinguished Level of Achievement graduation plan as the district's default graduation plan beginning with the Class of 2018.The trustees also approved the requirement of one credit of physical education and one half credit of health to meet graduation requirements for all plans beginning with the Class of 2018.

T.A. Brown Elementary School Awarded Prestigious LEED Green Building Certification
An Austin ISD school received top recognition for its design and construction that emphasized sustainability and environmental responsibility. On May 6, the U.S. Green Building Council announced that it has awarded T.A. Brown Elementary School the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Gold certification.
