Highland Park Elementary Named a Green Ribbon School
Highland Park Elementary School is one of only a handful of schools across the nation to earn the designation of a Green Ribbon School. The HP Scotties organized multiple events last year to earn the coveted designation. Some of the innovative, earth-friendly projects included:

The Austin ISD Literacy Work Group was established to develop a plan for literacy in the district. A Board-Approved AISD Strategic Priority for school year 2014–15 includes the implementation of the district literacy plan.
