Superintendent Paul Cruz surprised three teachers in their classrooms today to announce their selection as Austin ISD’s 2015 Teachers of the Year for elementary, middle and high school.Being selected as a Teacher of the Year is one of the highest honors bestowed on AISD teachers.
McCallum Student Documentary Featured at Cannes Film Festival
A film by McCallum High School freshman Sofia Smith Hale will be featured in the Short Film Corner of the acclaimed Cannes Film Festival. Hale, age 15, conceptualized and filmed the documentary as part of her Visual Arts Major in the school's Fine Arts Academy. This is her second film.
