Repurposing Pease Elementary School
Overview Pease Elementary School is situated on a 2.17 acre site located in downtown Austin just blocks away from the Texas State Capitol at 1106 Rio Grande Street. Pease plays an important role in the history of Austin ISD, the city of Austin and the state of Texas. Pease became a registered Texas Historic Landmark in 2013.

Austin ISD extends pre-K schedule, adds teacher assistants
Families can expect more out of Austin ISD’s prekindergarten program for four year olds this school year with 45 minutes of additional instruction. “The extra 45 minutes means additional time for high-quality programming; hands-on learning experiences, exposure to literacy and learning through play,” said Nikki Demby, director of early learning.
