Oak Springs Students Receive Free Backpacks at Fourth Annual Event
Parents and their children were moving and dancing to a DJ’s music at Oak Springs Elementary on Monday while waiting to collect a free backpack and school supplies. While the event was an outdoor, drive-thru event, the pull of the music was too strong for some.

Austin ISD moves to twice-monthly pay starting in July (en español)
Beginning in July 2023, all employees in all departments and at all campuses—full-time, part-time and substitutes—will get paid twice per month.
