View 2025 Summer Meal Sites Children need nutritious meals to learn, grow, and thrive—even when school is out. Thanks to federally funded Texas Department of Agriculture meal programs, we provide free breakfast and lunch for students at many schools throughout the summer.

Reagan and Travis High Schools to Host Financial Aid Workshop This Saturday
This Saturday, March 23, representatives from the Austin Chamber will be at Reagan and Travis high schools to help seniors and their parents complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). AISD, Central Texas Under Heat Advisory
The National Weather Service recently placed most of Central Texas under a heat advisory until 7 p.m. Thursday, as daytime temperatures are expected to climb to between 100 and 105 degrees. Red Ribbon Week—Focus on Vaping
Red Ribbon Week—Oct. 28 through Nov. 1—is a national campaign to bring awareness to the risks and dangers of substance abuse. Starting Oct. 28, AISD will educate students, staff and the community about the effects of tobacco, alcohol, vaping and other drugs on our bodies and brains.
Austin ISD Releases Preliminary Draft of Facility Master Plan For Public Comment
AUSTIN, Texas—Austin ISD has released a preliminary draft of the Facility Master Plan for public comment. The district will use the plan to help support safe, healthy and attractive schools and facilities that promote learning. The Board of Trustees is scheduled to take action of the FMP on June 16.
