AISD High Schools Ranked Among Best in Nation...Again
Seven Austin ISD high schools are among the best in the nation, according to the 2016 Washington Post America's Most Challenging High Schools rankings. "I am excited to see Austin ISD schools continue to be recognized in Texas and the nation year after year," Superintendent Paul Cruz said. This spring, the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) End-of-Course (EOC) assessments are replacing the four exit-level TAKS (Texas Assessments of Knowledge and Skills) exams as the state-mandated assessments that a student must pass in order to graduate.
