AISD to Provide Meals Until School Starts and During Remote Learning
Austin ISD will prepare and provide meals for children, and their parents or caregivers, until off-campus remote learning begins on Sept. 8. AISD is working in collaboration with the Texas Department of Agriculture.
COVID, student success top themes at State of the District
Superintendent Stephenie Elizalde spoke to how Austin ISD continues to deal with keeping children, staff, and their families safe more than a year and a half into the pandemic. Media Advisory: USDA Food and Nutrition Leader Visits Ann Richards School Wednesday
AUSTIN, Texas—Tomorrow, Janey Thornton, deputy undersecretary for food, nutrition and consumer services at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, will visit the Ann Richards School for Young Women Leaders to learn about Austin ISD’s farm-to-school program and how the district is meeting new federal nutritional guidelines for foods served in school cafeterias.
