AISD Board of Trustees Appoints Technology Officer for Teaching and Learning
Tonight the Austin ISD Board of Trustees approved the appointment of Kevin Schwartz to the newly created position of Technology Officer for Learning and Systems. The position was created as part of the recent AISD central administration reorganization to become a more streamlined and nimble organization.

Austin ISD will break ground May 13 on an approximately 5,000-square-foot building to accommodate the new Career Launch program at LBJ Early College High School.The program, a partnership with Seton Healthcare Family and Austin Community College, allows students to earn an associate degree in health science, preparing them to further their education in the medical field.

Dobie Middle SchoolMaggie Araujo was appointed to lead Dobie Middle School. Araujo most recently served as assistant principal of testing and intervention at John B.
