T.A. Brown Elementary School Awarded Prestigious LEED Green Building Certification
An Austin ISD school received top recognition for its design and construction that emphasized sustainability and environmental responsibility. On May 6, the U.S. Green Building Council announced that it has awarded T.A. Brown Elementary School the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Gold certification.
Superintendent: Our Deepest Sympathy to the Lanier Community
Dear Colleagues, Partners and Community Members: It is with a heavy heart that I share with you the tragedy that occurred earlier today at Lanier High School. I regret to inform you that a student died at the school due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound. No other students or staff members were harmed.
