Austin ISD Will Serve Up Good Nutrition for Local Children This Summer
Bringing healthy summer meals to the Austin community ensures kids have a healthy vacation and return to school ready to learn. This summer, Austin ISD will serve anyone 18 years old and younger healthy meals at more than 50 campuses at no cost through the Summer Food Service Program. Both breakfast and lunch will be offered at all AISD summer meal sites.

IDEA Allan On-Track to Open in August
Austin, TX—IDEA Allan, Austin ISD's new, in-district charter school, is on-track to meet its enrollment goals after completing its first phase of enrollment, which ends today. In addition, enrollment at two of the district's area elementary schools, Govalle and Ortega, will increase for the 2012-13 school year.
