Free Capital Metro Bus Rides for K–12 Students Now Permanent

Austin Students Can Shine Onstage This Summer
Students of all experience levels are welcomed to shine onstage this summer during the free Summer Theater Series program from the Austin ISD Fine Arts Department. Current fifth through 12th-grade students are invited to try out as actors, dancers, technicians and musicians. Audition help is available, and no experience is required.
Cap Metro Extends the Summer Fun: All students ride free through Dec. 10
Now through Dec. 10 all students with a valid school ID can ride any Cap Metro transit free-of-charge—an extension of their summer offer of free public transport to all kids. AISD Closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday
