Clifton Career Development Center to Host Disability Mentoring Day - October 19th
Renee Borders, a Hospitality Practicum II teacher at Clifton Career Development School and a transition specialist, will host the annual Disabilities Mentoring Day (DMD) on Wednesday, October 19, 2011. Hadley Wheelchair Challenge Expands All Access to Akins High School
Archer Hadley, an Austin ISD student who helped increase accessibility for people with disabilities at Austin High School, has teamed up with Akins High School to bring the wheelchair challenge to the Eagles.Hadley raised $87,000 in his first challenge at Austin High, resulting in five automatic doors and rain-resistant canopies for his own campus. Student Registration Opens This Week
Parents are now able to register students online for the upcoming school year through the Austin ISD Parent Cloud or at any AISD campus. Registration is open for students within AISD's boundaries and for out-of-district transfers who apply to attend schools with availability.
