The Science of Exploration Science, Technology, Engineering and Math—also known as STEM—is an interdisciplinary curriculum delivered through problem-based learning experiences. Partnership That Helps Families and Restaurants to Continue Through December
A partnership that helps feed Austin ISD caregivers and support local restaurants will continue through December after the city of Austin voted to extend funding for the Caregiver Meal program. The Caregiver Meal program was made possible by the Austin Ed Fund’s AISD Crisis Support Fund, which received an additional $1.5 million dollars.
Austin ISD Hosts 2017 Bond Open Houses
Austin ISD is hosting a series of informational open houses to learn more about the 2017 Bond and how it could affect each campus. Travis ECHS Now Enrolling Students in Hospitality Management Program
Austin ISD is now enrolling students for an innovative program designed to help students earn an associate of applied science degree in hospitality management at no cost while attending Travis Early College High School. This program, launching in August 2021 at Travis ECHS, was created in partnership with Austin Hotel Lodging Association, Visit Austin, and Austin Community College District (ACC).
Akins Early College High School Donates Personal Protective Equipment to Austin Disaster Relief Network
Austin ISD is #AISDProud this past week as Akins Early College High School's Health Science Technology program donated personal protective equipment to the Austin Disaster Relief Network. The supplies donated by the school included 15 cases of isolation gowns, 15 boxes of surgical masks, 20 boxes of surgical gloves, 30 boxes of non-latex gloves, and about 100 gowns and shoe cover booties.

Austin Students Can Shine Onstage in the Summer Theatre Series
Students of all experience levels are welcomed to shine onstage this summer during the free Summer Theatre Series program from the Austin ISD Visual & Performing Arts Department. Current fifth through 12th-grade students are invited to try out as actors, dancers, technicians and musicians. Audition help is available, and no experience is required.
