The hallways of Perez Elementary are filled with pythons. And they hablan español. The serpentine school mascot offering encouragement, instruction and even prompts for self-reflection to students on posters is everywhere, as are the reminders of the drive to celebrate the language that is home for the many students who trace their roots to Mexico and Central America.

AISD Creates Facebook Profile Frames for 2021 Graduates (En español)
Austin ISD is proud of the Class of 2021, and to congratulate our graduates we have created Facebook profile picture frames to celebrate them reaching this milestone. The frames can be both accessed in Spanish and English and say “2021 Grad!” and “Proud of my Grad!” There are two frames: one for family and friends, and one for students.
